The Kent County Levy Court Parks and Recreation Department is offering a youth flag football league for ages 5 to 10 with games beginning Saturday, Sept. 4, at Big Oak County Park, Smyrna.
The fee is $40 and includes a team T-shirt.

Wild Quail held its senior club championship Aug. 14 and 15 at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club, Wyoming.
The ladies winners in the championship flight were Anne Lanovara, 162, first; Linda Malloy, 173, second; and Karen Kitchen, 177, third.
The ladies winners in the first flight were Vicki Buckworth, 189, first; and Lynn Egloff, 191, second.
The ladies winners in the second flight were Carolyn Price, 195, first; Nancy Woodward, 197, second; Jo Smith, 200, third; Joan Shuba, 105, low Sunday; and Nancy Benner, 183, low net.

The Flight A winners were Peg Adkins, 15, first, and Janine Martin, 16, second.
The Flight B winners were Fran Dabson, 9, first, and Stacy Abernathy, 12, second.

Fox wins Jonathan’s club championship
Fifteen ladies from Jonathan’s Landing participated in a tournament for the title of club champion Aug. 14 and 15 at Jonathan’s Landing Golf Course, Magnolia, with Chris Fox winning the overall title.

The Wild Quail 18-Hole Ladies played a Tee-to-Green tournament Aug. 17 at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club, Wyoming.
The winners in the first flight were June Allen and Anne Lanovara, tied for first; Karen Kitchen, second; and Sue Cox, third.
The winner in the second flight was Mary Jane Ralson.
The closest-to-the-pin winners were Sue Cox, 13 feet 8 1/2 inches, hole No. 4; and Anne Lanovara, 20 feet 6 inches, hole No. 8.

The foursome of Fran Johnson, Chotsie Raver, Denise Dickerson and Linda Townsend shot a 154 to win first gross.

Barlow wins best net on odd holes tourney
The Ladies from Garrison’s Lake Golf Course played a best net score on odd holes tournament Aug. 19 at Garrison’s Lake Golf Course, Smyrna.
The winners were Linda Barlow, first; Irene Simpson, second; and Nancy Cassell, Shirley Hall and Ann Williams, tied for third.

Weekly senior game goes to Shuih and Shimamoto
The Par 3 Senior Golf League played its weekly game Aug. 17 at the Dover Par 3.

Aerobics class begins Aug. 30 at Pitts Center
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Low Impact Aerobics from 4:10 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 30, to Sept. 22, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
The workout is designed to burn fat, strengthen, tone and improve balance with low-impact movements. Light weights will be utilized for specific exercises.
The class is gentle on the body and adaptable for all fitness levels.
The activity fee is $25, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water.

Chair Yoga for all ages begins Aug. 26
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Chair Yoga from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Thursdays, Aug. 26, to Sept. 30, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
The class is designed to move the body through a series of standing and seated yoga poses. A chair is offered for support in performing a variety of postures that increase flexibility, balance and range of motion.
Breathing exercises and relaxation will promote calmness and mental clarity.

Seated aerobics class promotes strength, flexibility
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Chair Aerobics from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Thursdays, Aug. 26, to Sept. 30, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
A chair is used for seated or standing support in this non-impact aerobic class for individuals who are interested in increasing upper-body strength, as well as cardiovascular and muscular endurance.
The class is designed to increase balance, range of motion and coordination. It is adaptable for all fitness levels.

TEE-BALL
County leagues for ages 4 to 6 begin Sept. 18
The Kent County Levy Court’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering Tee-Ball Leagues for ages 4 to 6 beginning Saturday, Sept. 18, and running for six weeks at both Brecknock County Park, Camden, or Browns Branch County Park, Harrington.
All practices and games will be played at the location for which the player registers. The fee is $40 and payment is due by Thursday, Sept. 2.
