Early cross-town bragging rights go to the Senators after Dover's girls basketball team beat Caesar Rodney 50-42.

Dover ran out to an 11-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back against a tenacious Caesar Rodney team.

After being down 40-21 at the end of the third quarter, Caesar Rodney mounted a comeback and outscored Dover 21-10 in the final quarter of the game but didn't have enough to pull ahead before the final buzzer.

Perennial scorer Nichelle Potter scored 16 to lead the Senators while Chakia Young scored 10 points for Caesar Rodney.

CR outscored Dover 21-10 in the final quarter of the game to make it close but didn't have enough this time to come back against Dover.
