Field Hockey
Record: 5-4-2, 4-4-2
The Dover High field hockey team’s struggles continued this past week with another loss, this time to Delmar, 4-2, Oct. 20. The Senator goals came from Sarah Litchford and Makia Sturgis. The team next plays at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Milford High School.
Boys Soccer
Record: 6-6, 6-5
The Dover High boys soccer team’s losing streak continued with losses to Caesar Rodney, 2-1, Oct. 20, Sussex Tech, 3-2 (OT), Oct. 22 and Newark, 4-2, Oct. 24. Each scoring a goal for the week were Ben Petit de Mange, Nick Bolton, Matt Hogsten, Herman Gomez and Paul Kim. The Senators hope to reverse their losing ways when they host Smyrna High School at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 3-10, 2-7
The Dover High girls volleyball team had its first winning week of the season, beating Sussex Central, 3-1 (26-24, 12-25, 26-24, 25-23), Oct. 20, and Lake Forest, 3-2 (25-22, 24-26, 23-25, 25-12, 17-15) Oct. 22, but then losing to Caesar Rodney, 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-16), Oct. 24. The Senators will play their final match of the season at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at St. Andrew’s School.
Polytech High School
Football
Record: 0-7, 0-4
The Polytech High football team stayed winless on the season after being shut out by Milford, 27-0, Oct. 23. The Panthers will look to secure that first win when they host Delmar High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
Field Hockey
Record: 2-7-2, 1-7-2
The Polytech High field hockey team played and lost three times this past week. The Panthers fell to Indian River, 2-1, Oct. 20, Caesar Rodney, 2-1, Oct. 22 and Seaford, 4-3, Oct. 23. Emily Tull scored twice in the three games, while Antwanique Woolford and Julia Wise had a goal each. Polytech hits the field again at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, vs. Sussex Tech High School.
Boys Soccer
Record: 4-5-2, 3-5-2
The Polytech High boys soccer team brought its winning streak to three games this past week with victories over Woodbridge, 5-1, Oct. 20 and Delmar, 3-1, Oct. 22. T.J. Gulledge and Leland Schapp each scored twice during the week, and Maurice Price, Rick Emory, Shawn McKay and Tim Beckman racked up a goal apiece. The Panthers, who have struggled for most of the season, hope to keep their winning ways going when they host Lake Forest High School at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 10-2, 10-2
The Polytech High girls volleyball team lost to Cape Henlopen, 3-1 (25-18, 25-18, 26-24), Oct. 19, but rebounded to beat Sussex Central, 3-2 (25-16, 13-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9), Oct. 21 and Indian River, 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-19), Oct. 22. The Panthers host their senior night when they play Sussex Central High School at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
Caesar Rodney High School
Field Hockey
Record: 5-6-1, 4-5-1
The Caesar Rodney High field hockey team broke even this past week, losing to Smyrna, 1-0, Oct. 20 and then beating Polytech, 2-1 (OT), Oct. 22. Rachel Joyner scored to tie the game in regulation in the win, while Corie Kiger buried the overtime winner. The Riders will play again at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, vs. Woodbridge High School.

Record: 10-3, 10-2
The Caesar Rodney High boys soccer team extended its win streak to six games this past week by beating Dover, 2-1, Oct. 20, Cape Henlopen, 1-0, Oct. 22 and Milford, 1-0, Oct. 24. Jesse Marano led the Riders in goals for the week with two, followed by Kyle Scott and Michael Clark, who had one each. CR hits the field again at Sussex Tech High School at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.

The Caesar Rodney High girls volleyball team won its fourth and fifth straight matches this past week by sealing up victories over Delmar, 3-0 (25-7, 25-14, 25-10), Oct. 22 and Dover, 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-16), Oct. 24. The Riders played their final match against Middletown on Oct. 26 and are now awaiting the tournament seeds.
Lake Forest High School
Field Hockey
Record: 3-5-3, 3-4-3
The Lake Forest High field hockey team lost its first game of the week to Sussex Tech, 6-0, Oct. 20 but then beat Indian River, 1-0, Oct. 22. Kaitlyn Corder scored the lone goal and Amanda Fabi recorded the shutout in the win. The Spartans will play again at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Delmar High School.

The Lake Forest High boys soccer team lost its only game of the week, falling to Indian River, 4-0, Oct. 20. A trip to Polytech will mark the Spartans’ second to last game of the season at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.

The Lake Forest High girls volleyball team lost two more matches this past week, falling to Smyrna, 3-0 (25-4, 25-9, 25-12), Oct. 20 and Dover, 3-2 (25-22, 24-26, 23-25, 25-12, 17-15), Oct. 22. The Spartans close their season at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Saint Thomas More Preparatory.

Field Hockey
Record: 7-2-1, 5-2-1
The Saint Thomas More field hockey team won their first two games since September this past week, beating Red Lion, 3-0, Oct. 19 and Delmarva Christian, 6-1, Oct. 24. The Ravens spread the offense around, with Christine Eliassen scoring three times, Meghan McGloin and Katie Price each scoring twice, and Julia DiMarco and Christine Petrosky collecting a goal each. STM will host Saint Peter and Paul School at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, for its next game.

The Saint Thomas More boys soccer team picked up a notch in every standings category this past week, first tying Sussex Central, 2-2, Oct, 19, then losing to Cape Henlopen, 4-0, Oct. 20, and finally beating Delmarva Christian, 7-1, Oct. 24. The Ravens will next play at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, when they host Sussex Tech High School.

The Saint Thomas More girls volleyball team had a busy week, beating Delmar, 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 25-27, 25-15), Oct. 19 and Mount Pleasant, 3-2 (25-19, 25-21, 12-25, 21-25, 15-11), Oct. 20, and then losing to Delmarva Christian, 3-2 (25-17, 21-25, 23-25, 25-12, 15-11), Oct. 24. The Ravens return to the court at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at St. Mark’s High School.
Campus Community High School
Field Hockey
Record: 1-10-1, 1-4-1
The Campus Community High field hockey team tied Delmarva Christian, 3-3, Oct. 20 and lost to Archmere, 7-1, Oct. 23. The goals were scored by Skyler Speed, who had two, Jasmine Gia Camaclang and Elizabeth Lancaster. The Cougars will play their final game of the season at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, vs. Newark High School.

The Campus Community High boys soccer team lost two more games this past week to Polytech, 2-1, Oct. 19 and Archmere, 3-1, Oct. 22. Kishai Sylvester scored the lone goal for the Cougars, who next play at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Milford High School.

The Campus Community High girls volleyball team won consecutive games for the first time this season by beating Howard, 3-1 (23-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-16), Oct. 22 and McKean, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-23), Oct. 22. The Cougars will host conference rival Archmere Academy at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
