Football
    The Lake Forest High School football team
won its second straight game this past week to improve to 3-6 on the season.
    The Spartans defeated Archmere, 27-20, Nov. 1. They will play their final game of the season against Milford at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

    The Polytech High School football team lost its sixth straight game to drop to 2-7 on the season.
    The Panthers fell to Tatnall, 20-14, Oct. 31. They will play their final game on the road against Sussex Tech at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

Field Hockey
    The Dover High School field hockey team closed out its regular season this past week with two more losses, finishing on a four-game losing streak.
    The first loss came against Cape Henlopen, 3-0, Oct. 28. The Senators then fell to Caravel, 2-0, Oct. 30. Jessica Zebley made seven saves in the loss to Caravel.
    With the two losses, Dover finished with a record of 11-5. It enters the state tournament as the No. 15 seed and will face off with No. 2 Brandywine, Nov. 6.

    The Caesar Rodney High School field hockey team
lost its final game of the season this past week, ending a three-game winning streak and finishing at 6-9-1.
    The Riders fell to Tower Hill, 6-0, Oct. 28. Zoe Masten had 18 saves.

    The Lake Forest High School field hockey team lost its final game of the season this past week to finish with a record of 3-10-3.
    The Spartans lost to William Penn, 4-0, Oct. 29. Chelsea Warren had 26 saves in the loss.

    The Saint Thomas More Preparatory field hockey
team won its final game of the regular season to finish undefeated at 15-0-1.
    The Ravens defeated Saint Peter and Paul High School, 3-1, Oct. 30. Morgan Hudson had two goals, Sam Smiertka had a goal and an assist, and Amanda Hudson made five saves.
    STM earned the No. 5 seed in the state tournament and will play No. 12 Caravel Academy at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Saint Thomas More.

    The Campus Community High School field hockey team
won one game and lost another this past week to finish its season with a record of 1-11-4.
    The Cougars beat Delmarva Christian, 2-1, Oct. 28, but then lost its last game against Sussex Central, 2-0, Oct. 30.

Soccer
    The Dover High School soccer team won its final game of the regular season this past week to finish with a record of 12-3-1.
    The Senators defeated Archmere, 2-0, Oct. 28, and will enter the state tournament as the No. 5 seed.
    Dover played No. 12 Sanford, Nov. 4. The Post had gone to press before results were available.

    The Riders took down Middletown, 2-1, Oct. 28, and will enter the state tournament as the No. 2 seed.
    CR will take on No. 15 Seaford in the first round of the tournament at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Milford High School.

    The Spartans beat Campus Community, 4-0, Oct. 28.

    The Polytech High School soccer team won its final game of the season this past week, closing out with a record of 6-8-2.
    The Panthers defeated Delmarva Christian, 4-1, Oct. 30.

    The Campus Community High School soccer team lost its final three games of the season this past week to finish with a record of 1-15.
    The Cougars first lost to Milford, 4-0, Oct. 28, and then fell to Woodbridge, 3-2, Oct. 29. In their final game of the season, they were defeated by Lake Forest, 4-0, Oct. 30.
