KC parks and rec hosting aqua aerobics

The Kent County Levy Court Parks and Recreation Department will host an aqua aerobics class from Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 8, to March 29, at Lake Forest High School, Felton.
Class times in February will be from 5 to 6 p.m. and those in March will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The program focuses on cardiovascular fitness and range of motion, and is a great workout for seniors.

The fee is $65, and participants must bring their suit and towel.

Betsy Gustafson, a personal trainer and fitness instructor with 25 years of experience, will run the course.

CR to host skills and drills clinic at high school

The Caesar Rodney Softball Boosters will host a skills and drills clinic for kids in grades two through seven from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sundays, Feb. 7, 14 and 21, and March 7, at Caesar Rodney High School, 239 Old North Road, Camden.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting and base running. Equipment used will include hitting tees, a batting tunnel, pitching machines, Whiffle balls, soft hands, agility ladders and more.

The cost is $60 per child, and all proceeds benefit the Caesar Rodney softball program.

Dover to host winter skills clinic for ages 6 to 12

The Dover High Senators baseball team will host its annual baseball skills clinic on Sundays in February in the Dover High gym, 1 Patrick Lynn Drive, Dover.

The program will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. for ages 6 to 9 and 10:30 a.m. to noon for ages 10 to 12 Sundays, Feb. 7, 14 and 21.

Players will receive instruction in hitting, fielding and base running.

The cost of registration is $60 in advance, $65 for walk-ins.

To register, mail name, address, phone number and/or email address, and shirt size with a check payable to DHS Baseball Boosters, c/o Patti Gatto, 45 Quail Hollow Drive, Dover, DE 19904.

Felton Little League to open registration
The Felton Little League registration period is now open with several sign-up times set through February at the Lake Forest North Elementary Cafeteria, 319 E. Main St., Felton.

Sign-up times will be as follows: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 6; 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 20.

The fee is $75 for the first child, $45 for the second, $30 for the third and free for the fourth.

Marydel Hartly Little League holding four sign-up sessions
The Marydel Hartly Little League will hold four sign-up dates in February for the upcoming season.

The first two will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Hartly Fire Hall. The following two will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 20, and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Marydel Fire Hall.

Registration fees are $60 for the first child, $30 for the second and $20 for the third and more.

Kent County to host new youth class

The Kent County Levy Court Parks and Recreation Department is offering a girls youth field hockey class from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 9, to March 16, at Lake Forest South Elementary, 301 Dorman St., Harrington.

The fee is $65 and includes a stick, shin guards, ball and mouth guard. If players provide their own equipment, the fee is reduced to $45.

WRESTLING
Melee in Magnolia set for Feb. 7 at STM

The fourth annual Melee in Magnolia Youth Wrestling Tournament will be at 9 a.m., weigh-ins from 6:30 to 8 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 7, at Saint Thomas More Preparatory, 133 Thomas More Drive, Magnolia.

The tournament is for ages 6 to 14.

The entry fee is $20 and pre-registration is required. Registration must be postmarked by Thursday, Feb. 4 if sent in the mail. Call-in registration must be received by 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.

The cost of admission is $4.

S.L.T. turkey shoot set for Feb. 7

The S.L.T. Fishing Club will host a turkey shoot at noon Sunday, Feb. 7, at 1111 Crystal Road, Hartly.
