Dover High School
Field Hockey
Record: 5-8-2, 4-7-2
The Dover High field hockey team finished its season this past week with two more losses, the first coming against Laurel, 3-1, Nov. 3, and the second against Caravel, 2-1, Nov. 5. Rhiannon Dillon and Makia Sturgis scored the final goals of the Senators’ season.
Boys Soccer
Record: 8-7, 8-5
The Dover High boys soccer team closed its season with a tough 1-0 loss to Archmere Academy on Nov. 3. The Senators finished the season just above .500 after starting the season 6-1.
Caesar Rodney High School
Field Hockey
Record: 7-7-1, 6-6-1
The Caesar Rodney High field hockey team lost its final game of the season this past week, falling to Sussex Tech, 3-0, Nov. 3. Finishing at .500, the Riders failed to make the state tournament.
Boys Soccer
Record: 11-3-1, 9-3-1
The Caesar Rodney High boys soccer team closed its regular season on a high note, taking down Middletown, 2-1, Nov. 3, on the strength of goals from Kyle Scott and Jesse Marano. The Riders were announced as the No. 9 seed in the state tournament, where they will face No. 8 St. Elizabeth High School at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Caravel Academy.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 16-2, 9-0
The Caesar Rodney High girls volleyball team, a No. 9 seed in the state tournament, was eliminated in the first round Nov. 7 when it lost to No. 8 A.I. DuPont, 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 29-27).
Lake Forest High School

Record: 3-9-3, 3-7-3
The Lake Forest High field hockey team lost for the fourth straight time to close its regular season when it fell to Seaford, 2-1, Nov. 3.
Boys Soccer
Record: 3-11-1, 2-10-1
The Lake Forest High boys soccer team closed the door on its 2009 campaign when it lost to Saint Thomas More, 1-0, Nov. 3.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 2-13, 0-11
The Lake Forest High girls volleyball team was shut out in its last match of the season by Saint Thomas More, 3-0, Nov. 2.
Polytech High School
Football
Record: 1-8, 1-5
The Polytech High football team recorded its first win of the season when it defeated conference-opponent Woodbridge, 21-14, Nov. 6. The Panthers will have their work cut out for them to close the season when they host Sussex Tech High School, the Henlopen Conference’s No. 1 team in Division I, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

Record: 3-10-2, 1-10-2
The Polytech High field hockey team went 1-1 this past week to close out its season, first beating Dickinson, 3-0, Nov. 2 and then losing to Cape Henlopen, 9-0, Nov. 4. Julia Wise scored twice and Olivia Combs once to end the year.

The Polytech High boys soccer team lost to Seaford, 4-0, Nov. 3, in what was the Panthers’ final game of the season.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 13-2, 12-2
The Polytech High girls volleyball team’s impressive season came to an end this past weekend, when as the No. 15 seed it lost to No. 2 Archmere, 3-0 (25-10, 25-4, 25-9).

Field Hockey
Record: 10-4-1, 6-3-1
The Saint Thomas More Preparatory field hockey team had a busy week to finish its season, sandwiching a 6-2 win over Sussex Central on Nov. 4 between losses to Saint Peter and Paul High School, 1-0, Nov. 2 and Archmere, 3-1, Nov. 5. Meghan McGloin and Katie Price each scored two goals, while Emily Darling, Kristina Schmidt and Mary Mannion all scored once.

The Saint Thomas More Preparatory boys soccer team won its final two games of the season, beating Lake Forest, 1-0, Nov. 3 and Wilmington Christian, 3-0, Nov. 5.

The Saint Thomas More Preparatory girls volleyball team closed its season on a high note, beating Lake Forest, 3-0, Nov. 2.
Campus Community High School
Boys Soccer
Record: 2-12-1, 1-5
The Campus Community High boys soccer team went undefeated in its final week of the season, beating Woodbridge, 3-2, Nov. 2 and tying Pencader Charter, 1-1, Nov. 5. Reed Power and Adem Cemerlic scored two goals each to finish the year.
