Volleyball club to hold tryouts
The Central Delaware Juniors Volleyball Club will hold tryouts for ages 15 to 17 at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Saint Thomas More Preparatory, 133 Thomas More Drive, Magnolia.
CDJV is a competitive environment under the guidelines of USA Volleyball for ages 12 and younger through high school seniors to develop their volleyball skills and knowledge for the game.
Teams travel to play in six to eight round-robin tournaments on Saturdays and Sundays, with the season running from January through May, as well as at least one overnight tournament.

Parks and recreation offering indoor soccer leagues
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department will offer indoor soccer leagues for three different age groups at the Pitts Center, Dover.
Children ages 7 to 10 will play from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 25 to Dec. 30; ages 11 to 14 will play from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 24 to Dec. 29; and adults ages 30 and older will play from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 24 to Dec. 29.
The cost is $25 per participant, with registration and payment required one week prior to the start of the program.

Fees due for two field hockey leagues
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering high school and adult indoor field hockey leagues, with both beginning Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Pitts Center.
The adult league will consist of a 10-game schedule and single elimination playoffs. Required equipment includes a mouth guard, shin guards and non-marking court shoes. The team entry fee is $325, which is due along with a roster by Monday, Nov. 23.
The high school league will consist of an eight-game schedule and single elimination playoffs. Required equipment includes a mouth guard, shin guards and non-marking court shoes. The team entry fee is $260, which is due along with a roster by Monday, Nov. 23.

HUNTING
Turkey shoot to be held at Beagle Club
The Diamond State Beagle Club will host a turkey shoot at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at 1054 Beagle Club Road, Felton.
Prizes include turkeys, hams, chickens and shrimp.
