Dover High School
Field Hockey
Record: 5-6-2, 4-6-2
The Dover High field hockey team lost its third straight game this past week when it fell to Milford, 3-0, Oct. 29. The Senators will try to close their season with a win when they visit Caravel Academy at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.
Boys Soccer
Record: 8-6, 8-5
The Dover High boys soccer team snapped its five-game losing streak this past week by picking up wins against Sussex Central, 8-2, Oct. 27 and Smyrna, 2-1, Oct. 29. Steve LaRochelle led the Senator offense with four goals in the two games, followed by Matt Hogsten and Nick Bolton, who had two goals each. Matt Towne and Steve Benoit rounded out the scoring with a goal each. Dover closed its season Nov. 3 vs. Archmere Academy and will now await the release of the tournament bracket.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 2-11, 2-7
The Dover High girls volleyball team lost its final match of the season against St. Andrews, 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-19), Oct. 29.
Caesar Rodney High School
Field Hockey
Record: 7-6-1, 6-5-1
The Caesar Rodney High field hockey team won its second and third straight games this past week, picking up victories over Woodbridge, 2-0, Oct. 28 and Sussex Central, 5-0, Oct. 31. Stephanie Taillon and Rachel Joyner had goals for the Riders, who closed their season Nov. 3 vs. Sussex Tech High School and are now waiting to see if they made the cut for the tournament.

Record: 10-3-1, 10-2-1
The Caesar Rodney High boys soccer team tied its only game this past week against Sussex Tech, 1-1, Oct. 29, with Kyle Scott scoring the only goal. The Riders finished their regular season Nov. 3 vs. Middletown High School and are now preparing for the state tournament.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 16-2, 9-0
The Caesar Rodney High girls volleyball team closed its regular season with its sixth straight win, a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-15, 25-21) victory over Middletown on Oct. 26. With the tournament set to begin this week, the Riders are preparing for the first round.
Lake Forest High School
Field Hockey
Record: 3-8-3, 3-6-3
The Lake Forest High field hockey team had a tough week, losing games against Milford, 5-1, Oct. 27, Delmar, 3-1, Oct. 29 and William Penn, 5-0, Oct. 30. Elizabeth Baker and Kaitlyn Corder scored the goals for the Spartans, who closed their season Nov. 3 vs. Seaford High School.

Record: 3-10-1, 2-10-1
The Lake Forest High boys soccer team tied Laurel, 2-2, Oct. 27 and followed that up by losing to Polytech, 5-0, Oct. 29. The Spartan goals came from Craig Messick and Logan King, who along with their teammates finished its season Nov. 3 vs. Saint Thomas More Preparatory.
Girls Volleyball
Record: 2-12, 0-11
The Lake Forest High girls volleyball team won its second match of the season this past week when it beat Campus Community, 3-1 (10-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-22), Oct. 26. The Spartans could not carry that momentum, however, as it then lost to Polytech, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-14), Oct. 27. Lake finished its regular season Nov. 2 at Saint Thomas More Preparatory.
Polytech High School
Football
Record: 0-8, 0-5
The Polytech High football team lost to Delmar, 47-7, Oct. 30, for its eighth loss of the season. The Panthers hope to find the win column at least once over the final two games, beginning with a road contest at Woodbridge High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.
Field Hockey
Record: 2-9-2, 1-9-2
The Polytech High field hockey team lost two more times this past week, falling to Sussex Tech, 7-0, Oct. 29 and Delmar, 4-1, Oct. 30. Chelsie Nelson scored the only goal for the Panthers, who close their season at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Cape Henlopen High School.

Record: 6-6-2, 4-6-2
The Polytech High boys soccer team finally extended its winning streak to five games with wins over Lake Forest, 5-0, Oct. 29 and Delmarva Christian, 7-2, Oct. 30, before having the streak broken with a 6-0 loss to Indian River on Oct. 31. Scoring five goals through the three games was Nick Slater, followed by two from Maurice Price, and one TJ Gulledge, Eric Reed and Sergio Parra. Polytech closed its season Nov. 3 at Seaford High School.

The Polytech High girls volleyball team closed its season with three more wins this past week against Lake Forest, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-14), Oct. 27, Sussex Central, 3-2 (28-26, 22-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-10), Oct. 29 and Delmarva Christian, 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 25-15, 25-22), Oct. 30. The Panthers are now making preparations for the state tournament.

Record: 9-2-1, 6-2-1
The Saint Thomas More field hockey team won two more games this past week by beating Saints Peter and Paul High School, 3-1, Oct. 29 and Delmarva Christian, 6-0, Oct. 30. Katie Price led the team with five goals for the week, with Erica Bydlon, Christine Eliassen, Julia DiMarco and Mary Mannion scoring one each. The Ravens play their second to last game of the season at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, vs. Sussex Central High School.

The Saint Thomas More boys soccer team lost to Archmere, 6-0, Oct. 29 and Sussex Tech, 2-1, Oct. 31. The only goal for the week came from Joseph Zarraga The Ravens will close their season at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Wilmington Christian School.

The Saint Thomas More girls volleyball team lost two more matches this past week, dropping contests to Caravel, 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-20), Oct. 26 and St. Marks, 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-20), Oct. 28. The Ravens closed their season Nov. 2 vs. Lake Forest High School.

Record: 1-12-1, 1-4-1
The Campus Community High field hockey team lost two more games to close its season against Woodbridge, 9-0, Oct. 26 and Newark, 4-3, Oct. 29. Shannon Speed scored two goals and Elizabeth Lancaster had one in the Cougars’ final two games.

The Campus Community High boys soccer team lost its only game this past week to Milford, 2-0, Oct. 29. The Cougars finish their season at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, vs. Pencader Charter.

The Campus Community High School girls volleyball team lost to Lake Forest, 3-1 (25-10, 19-25, 20-25, 22-25), Oct. 26 and then to Archmere, 3-0 (25-9, 25-3, 25-7), Oct. 29 this past week. The Cougars closed their season Nov. 2 vs. Sussex Central High School.
