Camps for summer divided into two age groups
The Kent County Levy Court Parks and Recreation Department is offering two Junior Tennis camps from Monday, Aug. 2, to Friday, Aug. 6, at Caesar Rodney High School, Camden.
The camp for ages 7 to 9 will be from 8 to 10 a.m., while the camp for ages 10 to 12 will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
The activity fee is $60 and includes camp T-shirts.

Lunch time yoga, pilates begins Aug. 3
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Lunch Time Yoga & Pilates from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 3 to Aug. 26, in the City Hall Conference Room, Dover.
The class will help tighten the core, arms and legs, while helping participants de-stress.
The activity fee is $25, and participants are asked to bring a mat and water.

Parks and recreation class combines yoga, pilates
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Yogalates from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 3 to Aug. 26, at the Dover Park Recreation Center.
The yoga will help de-stress and balance the mind while stretching muscles to help tone the body, and the pilates will quickly tighten core muscles.
The activity fee is $25.

Three locals place in DSO triathlon
The Delaware Senior Olympics hosted its 2010 Triathlon July 17 at Lake Como, Smyrna.
Locals who placed were James Hutchison, 50 to 54, 1:11:56, second place overall; Brian Walsh, 55 to 59, 1:26:10, first place overall; and William Moyer, 65 to 69, 1:18:49, first overall.

Del Tech to host girls high school tournament
Delaware Technical & Community College’s Terry Campus is hosting a volleyball tournament Saturday, Aug. 7, and Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Del Tech outdoor volleyball courts, 100 Campus Drive, Dover.
Pool play begins Aug. 7 and runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the playoffs will kick off at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Teams must consist of four players that must be girls in grades 9 to 12. The cost of registration is $40 per team and must be submitted by Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Blue Hens select team to host tryouts
The Delaware Blue Hen Select team is hosting tryouts in three different sessions in six age groups in the coming weeks.
The first tryout will take place for 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds at 3 p.m. and 13-, 14- and 15/16-year olds at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Caesar Rodney High School, Camden.
The second will take place for 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds at 5 p.m. and 13-, 14- and 15/16-year olds at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, with a rain date of Monday, Aug. 2, at Sports at the Beach.
The final tryout will take place for 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds at 5 p.m. and 13-, 14- and 15/16-year-olds at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, with a rain date of Monday, Aug. 9, at Sports at the Beach.
Players are trying out for the 2010-2011 season, which runs from Sept. 1, 2010, to Aug. 31, 2011. The age of a player is determined by an April 30 cutoff.
