Sussex Central jumped out to an early 22-0 lead in the first half on their way to a 29-6 win over Polytech Friday night.
Already up 7-0, Sussex Central’s Drew Morris broke loose for a 73-yard touchdown to give the Golden Knights a 15-0 lead.
Later in the opening half, Brian Evans grabbed a pick-six giving them a commanding 22-0 advantage at half and the Golden Knights never looked back.
The Golden Knights improve to 6-1 overall and 3-1 against the Henlopen Conference. Meanwhile, the loss for Polytech snaps a five-game winning streak, dropping them to 5-2 overall and 2-1 against the rest of the conference.
The Panthers look to bounce back next Friday night when they travel to take on the Dover Senators.
Sussex Central looks to move to 7-1 next Saturday afternoon when they host Cape Henlopen in their 2017 homecoming game.
