The Caesar Rodney Riders put up a tremendous defensive effort and rode 15 second quarter points to a shutout victory, moving to 4-3 on the season.
A Joseph Delgado 27-yard field goal opened the scoring in the second quarter giving the Riders a 3-0 lead. Later in the quarter Emmanuel Kennedy broke off a 55-yard rushing touchdown before a Kevin Robinson 23-yard score put CR up 15-0.
Caesar Rodney’s defense shut the door the rest of the way, helping them improve to 2-2 against the Henlopen Conference.
The Ravens fall to 3-4 on the season and 1-2 against the rest of the conference.
The Riders look to move to 5-3 next Friday night in their homecoming game against Brandywine.
Meanwhile, the Ravens will travel to Smyrna to take on the Eagles.
