Doverites Sandy Kinkus and Doris Solomon created a fantasy football league, the Delmarvelles, this football season for area women in their 50s and 60s.

Nicole Dalious, a freshman on the Lake Forest High School wrestling team, has been performing at a high level in her first season, and has big goals down the stretch and through the rest of her high school career.

The Delaware Public Archives will host "Delaware's Invisible Hero: The Life and Times of William Julius 'Judy' Johnson" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. Ellen Rendle of the Delaware Historical Society will give the presentation, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

The Dover High School boys basketball team won a big game last weekend, beating downstate-favorite Polytech High School. With the win, the Senators have entered themselves into the conversation of top team in the state.

Debbie Windett has left her position as head coach of the Caesar Rodney High School girls lacrosse team to assume the same role with the Wesley College team. She hopes to bring stability and lasting success to the Wolverines over the long haul.

Though only a junior, Liz Freud has assumed a major leadership role as co-captain of the Saint Thomas More Preparatory girls basketball team. So far, she's done a great job, leading the team to a 9-2 record.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s NASCAR Nationwide Series team has announced a 12-race schedule for its newest driver, Indy Racing League star Danica Patrick. One of those races will be the Sept. 25 event at Dover International Speedway.
