OBITUARY: Christine Himmler-Corker

Friends of the late Christine Himmler-Corker, 70, of Camden, may call on the family from noon until 3 p.m. and again from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Mrs. Corker died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.

Born in 1939 in Leesburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Rafael and Catherine Pamulo.

Mrs. Corker was a licensed practical nurse, and had worked in nursing for several years before her retirement.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who also enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles and casino games. In her quieter moments she enjoyed gardening and especially the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Corker is survived by her loving husband, Michael P. Corker of Camden; two sons, Donald Himmler of Dover and Jason Baquilod of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Robin Himmler of Merrick, N.Y. and Rachel Rumore of Mahopac, N.Y.; a stepson, Matthew Corker of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers; and four grandchildren.

Cremation and final disposition will be held privately.
