Margaret Bell Teed, 93, of Camden, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the Silver Lake Nursing Home, Dover.
Born Dec. 13, 1915, in Brockton, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Leon Chester Marston and Margaret MacMillian Marston.
While in Massachusetts, Mrs. Teed lived most of her life in the town of Randolph.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover, where she was active in the American Baptist Women and the Christians Women’s Club. For many years she was a deaconess and then in her later years she was honored as Deaconess Emeritus.
While in Massachusetts, Mrs. Teed was a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Teed will be remembered for her kindness; she visited shut-ins and always remembered to send greeting cards.
Mrs. Teed is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bob J. Teed of Camden; two daughters and their husbands, Peggy and Woody Curtis of Camden and Lois and Gerald Waller of Opelika, Al; four grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Brian Walker of Malvern, Iowa, James and Stephanie Waller of Gardendale, Ala., Glen and Jessica Curtis of Charlotte, N.C. and Beth and Ray Sobocinski of Bear; and a great-grandchild, Rachael Curtis of Charlotte.
Funeral arrangements were by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
