Friends of the late James D. O’Neal, 67, of Hartly, may call on the family at 6 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, where services will be held at 7 p.m.
Mr. O’Neal died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Born March 26, 1942, in Middletown, he was the son of the late J. Irving O’Neal and Frances Conner O’Neal.
Mr. O’Neal was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and later worked at Camdel Metals as a machinist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Berry; and by a sister, Suzanne Berry Coulston.
Mr. O’Neal is survived by his wife, Judith Ann O’Neal; three sons, David O’Neal of Woodside, and Patrick O’Neal and Michael O’Neal, both of Hartly; and twin daughters and a son-in-law, Lorrie Gregory of Delmar and Peggy and Jeff Benvenuti of Hartly.
He also is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Jack Papen of Dover; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Bethany, Jillian, Rebecca, Zachery, Shawna and Steve; and a special niece and her husband, Tracy and Chris Boyer.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
