Friends of the late Betty E. Barcus, 84, of Dover, may call on the family beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where services will be held at 11.

Mrs. Barcus died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, in the Silver Lake Nursing Home, Dover.

Born May 30, 1925, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Weller.

Mrs. Barcus was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. Barcus, in 2001; two sisters, Eleanor Malloy and Mary Clarke; two brothers, George Weller and Hiram Weller; and a nephew, Gregory Clarke.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Patricia Barcus of Dover; her daughter, Linda Kellum of Hollister, Mo.; three grandsons, Alan Barcus, Eugene Bobsin and his wife Dawn and Steven Bobsin and his wife Angi; three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Alyssa and Steven; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Barcus’ name may be made to the Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
