Friends of the late Vera Lawrence, 91, of Camden, may call on the family at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, where services will be held at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Lawrence died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, in the Green Meadows retirement home, Dover.
Born April 23, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David and Vera Norbeck.
Mrs. Lawrence was a devoted homemaker was well as bookkeeper for her husband in the family business, Lawrence Garage and Body Shop, Woodside.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Tinney” Lawrence Sr. in 1995; and a great-granddaughter, Abby Christianson.
Mrs. Lawrence is survived by two sons and their wives, William W. Jr. and Elaine Lawrence of Dover and Richard and Janet Lawrence of Dover; and a daughter and son-in-law, Holly L. and Randy Slaughter Camden.
She also is survived by nine grandchildren, Brian Krasts, Cheryl Lawrence, Eriks Krasts, Terri Perry, Jeffrey Lawrence, Kevin Lawrence, Tracy Christianson, Matthew Slaughter and Michele Cathell; 11 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Lawrence, Allison Perry, Tara Coker, Amanda Lawrence, Seth Lawrence, Nathan Christianson, Jacob Christianson, Isaac Christianson, Alexis Krasts, Mason Cathell and Megan Cathell; and two great great-grandchildren, Silas Coker, and Kaleb Coker.
Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Lawrence’s name may be made to a charity of choice.
