Rosalie R. Martin Turgeon West, 68, of Camden, formerly of Woodbury, N.J., died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
Born Feb. 16, 1941, in Pittsfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Ruth Martin.
Mrs. West was raised in Pittsfield and was a graduate of the Saint Joseph High School and the Providence Hospital X-ray school. She spent many of her years as a registered X-ray technician in Woodbury and Norfolk, Va.
She was a voracious reader who could get lost in a good fiction, mystery or love story. She loved to spend time in her garden, where she could relax by tending her flowers. She was a great cook, and her family always looked forward to the delicious meals she would prepare.
Mrs. West is survived by her husband, Halbert G. West of Barclay Farms, Camden; two sons and their wives, Scot and Stacey and Jay and Betsy; a daughter and a son-in-law, Lisa and August; a brother and his wife, John and Jessie; two sisters and their husbands, Susan and Gabriel and Andrea and Dan; and three grandchildren, whom she loved and adored unconditionally, Seth, Gabrielle and Grant.
Funeral arrangements were by the McGuinness Funeral Home, Woodbury.
