Ruth Louise “Geegaw” Howell Muchler, 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at her home in Havre de Grace, Md.
Born Dec. 1, 1919, in Plymouth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Howell and Carrie Mae Datesman-Smith Howell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Muchler in November 1984; and a sister, Dorothy Howell.
Mrs. Muchler is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Anne and William Hallett, with whom she lived, and Jayne and David Dick of Dover; two grandsons, Bill Hallett III of Hunt Valley, Md. And Jim Hallett of BelAir, Md.; a great-granddaughter, Carson Hallett; a sister, Grace Swartz of Hernando, Fla.; and many devoted nieces, nephews and cousins.
Interment was in the Dulaney Memorial Garden, Timonium, Md.
Memorial donations in Mrs. Muchler’s memory may be made to the Shawnee Cemetery Preservation Association, 115 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, PA 18651-2200.
Funeral services were by the Lemmon Funeral Home, Timonium.
