Theodore E. “Ted” Jeffries, 55, of Smyrna and Ventnor, N.J., died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.

    Born Aug. 23, 1953, in Somers Point, N.J., he was the son of the late Robert Jeffries and Lois Heller Jeffries.

    Mr. Jeffries graduated from the Carson Long Military Institute in 1971, and after completing a computer engineering degree at Delaware Technical & Community College, worked for Catalog Resources of Dover.

    He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed watching TV, listening to music, and animals.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Jeffries.

    Mr. Jeffries is survived by a brother, Peter Jeffries of Durham, N.C.; two sisters and their husbands, Christine and Albert Cajthami of Camden and Linda and Richard Pilkington III of Pottstown, Pa.; two nieces, Jennifer Pinkerton and Melissa Cajthami; and a nephew, John “Ricky” Smolczynski.

    Services and interment will be private.

    Funeral arrangements were by the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
