Robert Russum, 65, of Erie, Pa., formerly of Dover, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at the St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.

Born June 16, 1944, in Dover, he was the son of the late Thomas and Blanche Russum.

Mr. Russum was a diesel mechanic, working for the Schwartz Motor Company in Dover. He was an active member of A.A. and often led the Basic Text Training Group meetings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Merchant.

Mr. Russum is survived by two children, Pam Russum of Erie and Dale R. Russum of Florida; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Carla Russum and Thomas Russum; a dear friend, Arlene Burrows; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Dover.
