A visitation for friends and services for the late David James Caward III, 22, of Smyrna, have been changed from the previously announced schedule.

The visitation for Mr. Caward now will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 4 p.m.

Mr. Caward died in an automobile accident Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, near Smyrna.

Born Nov. 11, 1987, in Dover, he was the son of David J. Caward Jr. of Wilmington and Barbara Thomas of Smyrna.

Mr. Caward enjoyed fishing, hunting, skateboarding, bicycling and being with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Caward is survived by three brothers, Bruce Morris and Gregory “CJ” Johnson Jr., both of Smyrna and Gaige Caward of Pennsylvania.

He also is survived by his maternal grandparents, Mary Thomas and Ernie Finn of Dover; his girlfriend, Stephanie Marine of Virginia; aunts and uncles, Denise and Brian Fletcher, and Howard and Kelly Deputy, all of Smyrna, Ricky O’Bryan of Pennsylvania, Denise O’Donnell of Delaware City, Frances and Jim Hamby of Georgia, Buddy and Dale Collins of Smyrna; a cousin, Kelly Irwin and numerous additional cousins; a great-cousin; and his extended family, Heidi, PJ and Brittney Finnegan, and Pauletta Nonnie Johnson of Delaware City.
