Friends of the late Marion O. Lewis, 74, of Felton, may call on the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
Mrs. Lewis died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Born May 21, 1935, in Worcester, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William J. Kelley and Florence LaCroix Kelley.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, baking, reading, gospel music, camping and being with her family and her church family.
She was a member of the Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Dover, and the Monday night prayer group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Hurd; and a son, Daniel Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of 54 years, H. Richard Lewis of Felton; her son, Michael Lewis of Ashburn, Va.; her daughter, Janice Whitney of Dover; two sisters, Sharron Lawson of Felton and Sue Conk of Smyrna; and six grandchildren, Andrew and Ashleigh Lewis, Stephen and Rachel Hurd and Amanda and Jonathan Whitney.
Interment will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, near Frederica.
