Friends of the late Philip R. Wactor Jr., 83, of Dover, may call on the family at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, where memorial services will be held at 6 p.m.
Mr. Wactor died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, of complications of heart disease.
Born in Elloree, S.C., he was the son of the late Philip R. Wactor Sr. and Margaret Wactor.
Mr. Wactor was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a graduate of Newberry College, South Carolina.
He was employed with the United States Public Health Service for 31 years.
Mr. Wactor is survived by his wife of 59 years. L.V. Wactor; two daughters and their husbands, Elva and Mark Damron of Maryland and Phyllis and Steven Malkiewicz of Virginia; and three grandsons, Ryan and Jason Malkiewicz and Mark Judy.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are by the Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Wactor’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19904.
