OBITUARY: Spec. Roger Wayne Paitsel II, Delaware National Guard

Friends of the late Roger Wayne Paitsel II, 22, of Wyoming, may call on the family from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 16, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 19.

Mr. Paitsel died peacefully Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at home.

Born Feb. 29, 1988, in Dover, he was the son of Roger Paitsel Sr. and Melissa P. Hess.

Mr. Paitsel attended Milford High School where he played football and wrestled. He was a proud member of the Delaware Army National Guard.

In his 22 years in this world, Mr. Paitsel touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Paitsel is survived by his father and stepmother with whom he lived, Roger Paitsel Sr. and Marylou Pisapia-Paitsel of Wyoming; his stepfather Kenneth Phillip Hess II and his wife, Jennie Hess; and his mother, Melissa Hess.

He also is survived by five brothers, Kenneth Phillip Hess III, Tyler Paitsel, Alex Paitsel, Thomas Paitsel and Benjamin Hess; a sister, Carly Hess; his grandparents, Thomas and Phyllis Johnson and Verma “Toodie” Pisapia, Willis “Peewee” and Patsy Holt and Sharon Farmer; his wife of two years, Jennifer Viss Paitsel; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close family friends.

Interment will be at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, near Frederica.

Funeral arrangements are by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
