Exceptional Catholic high school seniors were recently honored for their excellence in faith development, service, scholarship, citizenship and leadership at the inaugural convocation/prayer service.

Ten senior students from each of the eight Catholic secondary schools in Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore were recognized at a convocation held April 24 at Saint Margaret of Scotland Church in Newark.

“This event offers a wonderful opportunity to recognize the fine young men and women who have distinguished themselves,” said Cathy Weaver, superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Wilmington. “These honorees are commended for the qualities they demonstrate which make them leaders and role models in their school communities.”
