Before she goes to battle with the Monster for the first time, Danica Patrick will appear at a free question-and-answer session on the base of the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza, presented by AAA, at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25. The Q&A is free to all Sept. 24 to 26 Dover ticket holders and will be an excellent opportunity for fans to snap photos of the popular first-year NASCAR driver.

“I know I’m in for a challenge at Dover, there is no denying that,” said Patrick, driver of the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. “From what [crew chief] Tony [Eury] Jr. tells me, it’s a place that more than lives up to its nickname.

“Whenever you drive on a new track, it takes time to really feel comfortable. My biggest challenge is that I’m learning not only the track for the first time but I’m still learning how this car drives — in practice, in qualifying and in the race. I just need to keep my expectations realistic going into the weekend.”

Patrick is scheduled to enter 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series races this season with JR Motorsports while continuing a full schedule in the IndyCar Series. The Dover race will mark her seventh NASCAR race of the year.

Fans can see Patrick on track for the first time in Dover on Friday, Sept. 24 when the NASCAR Nationwide Series practices at 1:05 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 25, the NASCAR Nationwide Series will qualify at 10:35 a.m. for the 200-mile race scheduled to take the green flag at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Saturday, Sept. 25, event start at $47, and with the “Take a Kid to the Races” package, children 11 and younger are free with the purchase of an adult ticket. The package also includes access to the Kids Zone featuring free games, entertainment, snacks and a souvenir gift. The package is available now through Sept. 10.

NASCAR returns to the Monster Mile on Sept. 24 to 26.
