Three Kent County men arrested for hunting violations

DNREC Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents have arrested three Kent County men for hunting violations.

The suspects were identified Sgt. Gregory Rhodes of DNREC as Wallace D. Haden, 51, of the 2000 block of Pearsons Corner Road, Dover, James D. Thompson, 27, of the 5000 block of Judith Road, Kenton, and Steven L. Marvel, 32, of the 4000 block of Pearsons Corner Road, Dover; all were arrested near Hartly

All were charged with possession of unlawfully killed deer, hunting during a closed season, hunting from a motor vehicle, hunting at night, carrying an unlawfully loaded firearm, shooting near a roadway, trespassing and conspiracy.

In addition, Marvel was wanted on a capias for failure to appear and a charge of using prohibited shot.

All made an appearance at Justice of the Peace Court No. 7, Dover, where they were released on $2,050 bond each, pending a trial date.
