A benefit indoor soccer competition, the “Chad Spicer Memorial Indoor Soccer Tournament,” will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the John W. Pitts Recreation Center, Schutte Park.
All proceeds will benefit the Aubrey Spicer Fund, for the daughter of slain Georgetown Police officer Chad Spicer.
The tournament goal is to host 32 teams. Teams will consist of at least five players (one goalie, and four players), substitutes are also suggested for the teams.
The cost is $25 per player and will include a team shirt. Trophies will be presented. Registration ends when 32 teams have been reached. Registration spots are still available and teams may register up to the morning of the tournament.
