Delaware resident Pearce Quesenberry will appear on TV during game three of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday, Oct. 31.
Quesenberry, of Marshallton, is working with Stand Up 2 Cancer and Major League Baseball to promote cancer awareness. She will be participating in a live commercial sponsored by Master Card and MLB during the the third inning wearing her new, "Stand Up 2 Cancer" survivor shirt.
Quesenberry faced mortality battling childhood cancer and now the Marshallton girl hopes to help others do the same.
The Pearce Q. Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit created by friends to give grants to families fighting children’s cancer, support children’s cancer research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and raise awareness of childhood cancer, which is the No. 1 killer of children.
