Dover Police are looking for a man who assaulted a local woman after forcing his way into her home.
The break-in took place at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 14 at a home in the 1200 block of Walker Road, said police spokesman Lt. Steve Getek. The 60-year-old victim told police she opened her front door after hearing a knock; the man pushed his way in, knocking her to the floor. The man started beating her, but the woman fought back, causing her assailant to give up and run away.
The woman received minor injuries, Getek said.
The suspect was wearing a white or tan sweater and tan pants, he said.
