The Kent County Economic Summit: Building a Better Community will be held Friday, Nov. 13, at Delaware Technical & Community College, Terry Campus in Dover.
The first-of-its-kind summit is organized by the Corporate and Community Programs Division of Delaware Tech’s Terry Campus and the Central Delaware Business and Entrepreneurship Consortium. The Delaware Economic Development Office is a sponsor of the event.
The event will feature presenters who are actively involved in the major economic engines within the county, including health care, travel and tourism, gaming, agriculture, housing renovation and construction, real estate, utilities and green development, industrial and small business development, employment-generating activities, and other programs.
The keynote speaker will be Tommy Goodrow, the founder of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship.
The conference will conclude with an opportunity for attendee interaction and networking.
The cost is $50 per person, with chamber members receiving a discounted rate of $40. The student rate is $20.00. There is a $10.00 late fee for any registration received after Friday, Oct. 30.
