Intermittent lane restrictions on State Street in Dover begin Nov. 2

The Delaware Department of Transportation announced that there will be daytime lane restrictions on State Street between Loockerman Street and Walker Road in Dover. The project will consist of installing curb ramps to meet compliance guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

This project will begin Monday, Nov. 2, and end Friday, Nov. 27, weather permitting. The contractor for these improvements is Diamond Materials.

In addition, DelDOT will close Andrewsville Road between Gingerwood and Booth Branch roads beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 and ending by 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Workers will be removing and replacing crossroad pipes. Detours will be posted.

Motorists are advised to expect lane shifts and delays.
