A city of Dover spokeswoman is reporting there were no injuries in a weekend fire at the Woodmill apartments.

The blaze occurred at 12:05 a.m. Nov. 14 in apartment G-27 at the complex located at 1300 Farmview Drive, off Route 8, said city spokeswoman Kay Deitz-Sass. Three Dover fire trucks as well as one each from Hartly and Little Creek responded to the fire, she said.

A fault in a clothes dryer is the suspected cause, although the city’s fire marshal still is conducted his investigation, she added.

Three apartments were affected by the blaze, Deitz-Sass said. Apartment G-27 was extensively damaged by fire; one had extensive water damage, while another had minor smoke damage.

Deitz-Sass said seven adults, two children and a dog were given assistance from the American Red Cross.
