A six-month investigation into alleged drug activity in the Meadowbrook Acres section west of Magnolia ended Oct. 10 with the arrest of seven people.
Several residents had complained to police about what was going on, prompting the investigation, said Sgt. Joshua Bushweller, spokesman for the Delaware State Police.
Undercover detectives worked to identify several people involved in drug trafficking and Bushweller said warrants were issued for two homes.
“The focus of the warrants was to locate and arrest the subjects … and to conduct a thorough search of additional wanted persons,” he said in a prepared statement.
Of the seven people charged in connection with the investigation, two were already incarcerated. Michael Linareas, 25, and Devin A. Scott, 22, both of Magnolia had been committed to Vaughn Correctional Center on a related matter and face additional counts of delivery of crack cocaine and other charges.
Also arrested on delivery of cocaine charges were Magnolia residents Antoine J. Jones, 28, who also faces dog fighting charges; Monte C. Hollis, 18, also charged with maintaining a dwelling; and Sean C. Stratton, 35, who also faces an outstanding domestic violence capias.
Jones was released after posting an unspecified bond, and Hollis and Stratton were committed to VCC in default of unspecified bond.
Jermaine L. Malloy, 31, of Dover, a wanted probationer and registered sex offender, was arrested at a home on Harmony Lane after police got a tip he was hiding there. He was charged with resisting arrest and violation of probation and committed to VCC on unspecified secured bond.
Charles W. Lattisaw, 40, fled on foot but was caught after a short chase. He was committed to VCC for a number of capiases on unspecified cash bond.
Police continue to search for Maurice M. Satchell, 25, of Magnolia, Dominik Bailey, 24, of Dover, Donnell L. Singletary, 23, of Magnolia, and Allen J. Simms, 29, of Townsend. All have active arrest warrants for delivery of crack cocaine on file with the state police.
Kent County Probation and Parole officers, along with members of the Governors Task Force and Drug Task Force assisted in the operation.
