Delaware State Police reconstruction teams continue to piece together the cause of a two-vehicle collision Nov. 10 that claimed the lives of six people.

A woman and her boyfriend were allegedly shot dead by the woman’s ex-boyfriend Nov. 9 in the master bedroom of her General’s Greene residence. Delaware State Police almost immediately identified their suspect as Damion Neal, 32, and began a search for him, said police spokesman Cpl. Jeffrey Whitmarsh.

Dover Police officers Jeff Melvin, left, and David Spicer lead Ernest Brown, 25, into Justice of the Peace Court No. 7 in Dover to face charges of first-degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and theft. Brown was arrested Oct. 18 in New Jersey for the alleged murder of his estranged girlfriend Jessica M. Smith at her White Oak condominium. Brown did not fight extradition and has been committed to Vaughn Correctional Center without bond, pending a preliminary hearing at a future date.

A six-month investigation into alleged drug activity in the Meadowbrook Acres section west of Magnolia ended Oct. 10 with the arrest of seven people. Several residents had complained to police about what was going on, prompting the investigation, said Sgt. Joshua Bushweller, spokesman for the Delaware State Police.

Four Dover teenagers and a 20-year-old were arrested in Rehoboth Beach over the weekend in connection with a robbery and home invasion. The five left Dover late Oct. 10 and headed to Rehoboth with the intention of robbing someone, said Delaware State Police spokeswoman Cpl. Andrea Boone.
