Celebrating Veterans Day at Stokes Elementary

Fourth- and fifth-graders at Nellie H. Stokes Elementary made Veterans Day cards to send to the VA Hospital in Wilmington and the Veterans Home in Milford. In addition, Brittany Poore and Jeremy Murphy stand in front of this school-wide display showing pictures of family members who are veterans or currently serving in the military. Many of those same family members visited classrooms to talk about their job duties and experiences protecting and serving the country.
