Chapter 850, Vietnam Veterans of America, will host its final fundraiser for the Kent County Vietnam Memorial beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Felton Fire Hall in Felton.
The event will feature a fried oyster dumpling dinner and live auction. A review of the auction items will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.
Construction on the memorial, located in Dover, has begun and will be dedicated on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. It will honor the 26 Kent Countians lost in Vietnam and later provide space for memorials those lost in other conflicts from World War II forward. It can be seen at www.DelawareVVA.com.

Tickets are $25. The deadline for tickets sales is Oct. 10. No tickets will be sold at the door.
