Tyrice Thomas, 26, of Virginia arrested

A Virginia man was arrested on multiple drug-related charges in Georgetown on Sunday.

On Sunday, November 11, at 10:30 a.m., police stopped a vehicle southbound on Dupont Boulevard, in the area of Shortly Road, for a traffic violation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana and a search of the vehicle was conducted, which found about 6 grams of marijuana in the glove box and a bag containing 150 bundles of heroin, each bundle containing 10 individual bags, in the back seat.

Tyrice Thomas, 26, of Virginia, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on $40,200 unsecured bail.
