The Friends of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Inc. opened submissions for its 2018 Nature Photography Contest, which showcases some of the best talented nature photography on Delmarva.

Entries are due by Oct. 14.

The contest is open to photographers, including separate categories for students. There are categories with chances to win awards for photographers of all ages and abilities. Categories include the beauty of Prime Hook, native flowers and plants, native birds, other native wildlife, and Delmarva scenery.

Photographs will be on display Oct. 21 through Dec. 9, and the exhibition kicks off with an opening reception for the artists and the general public from 2 t 4 p.m. Oct. 21 in the auditorium of the Visitors Center at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton.

Viewers decide the “People’s Choice Award,” which will be presented at the conclusion of the exhibition.
