Bayhealth will offer the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/automated external defibrillator from 4 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, General Foods Conference Room, 640 S. State St., Dover.
The course, designed for those who are not health care providers, reviews the steps of CPR for adults, children and infants. In addition, participants will learn the use of an automatic external defibrillator. Participants must be at least 14 years old.
Textbooks can be purchased at the hospital retail shop; it is recommended that students purchase the books seven days prior to class for review. Textbooks must be brought to class.
Cost is $35. Registration is required.
A course completion card is issued with recertification needed every two years.
