The suspect is identified as Allyson M. St. Sauveur

A Frederica woman has been arrested after she allegedly took a woman’s purse from her vehicle.

The theft took place in June 2018 in the Midway Shopping Center, Harrington, police spokesman Capt. Earl K. Brode said.

The suspects escaped from the area, but the victim was able to obtain the license number and turn that information over to police. Officers used that to identify Allyson M. St. Sauveur, 22, as a suspect and obtained warrants for her arrest.

On Aug. 23, Harrington police received a tip that led them to the Super 8 Motel, where they took St. Sauveur into custody without resistance.

St. Sauveur was charged with theft of property valued at less than $1,500 and third-degree conspiracy. She later was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
