The suspect is a heavy-set black man.

An unlocked window at the Presbyterian Church in Dover proved to be too much of a temptation for a burglar who broke into the house of worship early Friday.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the burglary took place at about 4 a.m. Aug. 24 at the church, located at 54 S. State St.

Once inside the burglar damaged several office doors and shattered glass windows. Several offices also were vandalized but it is not yet known if anything was taken.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect is a heavy-set black man wearing a cream-colored shirt, blue pants, and red sneakers.
