A part of the Wesley Athletics gameday experience is going digital.

Game programs for select sports will be online for fans to access through personal electronic devices to enhance the player and fan experience when attending a Wesley home game.

"This is an important step in making our home games more accessible," said Director of Sports Information Cyrill Parham. "Our department will be eco-friendlier and more sustainable when it comes to limiting the amount of paper that is used and potentially wasted during and after games. Moving to a digital program will be able to provide way more information than a paper program ever could."

Features of the digital game program include links to home and away rosters, coaches, stats, and schedules; gameday coverage information including, location, directions to playing facility, live stats, live video and a brief game preview; the Wesley roster for the specific sport featured, with photo and links to personal bios for each player; and live links available for fans to engage with the Wesley Athletics Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

The digital game program will be featured on all Wesley Athletics social media pages and under "preview" on the specific team's schedule page the day before or the morning of the contest.

Posters with QR codes and step-by-step guides on how to access the digital game program will be available at home games. A limited amount of paper programs will be available on hand for those who require one. Fans are encouraged to print out the digital program themselves to bring to the game or save as a keepsake of favorite Wesley athletes and teams.

The first digital programs will be available Aug. 31 when Wesley men's soccer and field hockey open the 2018-19 athletic season at home.

Sports that will have digital game programs in 2018-19 include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball and volleyball.
