The Dover Police Department’s Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit working in conjunction with the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit ended a lengthy drug investigation Aug. 8 with the arrest of two people.
Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said department on Wednesday executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Simon Circle.
The individuals, identified as Maurice Butler, 26, and Mary Honey, 18, were taken into custody without incident.
Officer found and seized 47.7 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, cash in the form of suspected drug proceeds, and a shotgun during the search. Butler also was wanted by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit on separate charges.
Both are charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree conspiracy and being a local fugitive.
Bond information was not immediately available, Hoffman said.
