The injured man is being treated at Bayhealth Hospital.

Dover police are investigating the latest shooting in the Manchester Square apartment complex.

Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the incident took place at 9:29 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 in the complex located on Stevenson Drive, on the east side of the city.

The incident appears to have been a drive-by shooting, Hoffman said.

Police investigating the scene found several shots were fired at a vehicle, some of which hit the vehicle and a 36-year-old man. The victim was taken to Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus before police arrived and is hospitalized in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

In June 2017, Dover police investigated a report of shots being fired and found a bullet had hit one of the apartments; there were no injuries.

Another drive-by shooting in March 2017 resulted in two injuries.
