A Lincoln man started his Memorial Day weekend with a win from the Delaware Lottery.

Darrell White initially purchased one 7 Instant Game ticket from the Liquor Plus in Georgetown, but before leaving, decided to buy four more. That decision ended up landing him one of the game's $15,000 top prizes as the last ticket he scratched ended up being a winner.

"It's awesome," said White. "I looked at it (ticket) and set it down about 10 times. I just couldn't believe it."

White said he has been playing the lottery "forever," playing multiple times a week at the Liquor Plus. He said he enjoys playing Instant Games, Mega Millions and Powerball saying, "I play it all." White said the staff at Liquor Plus are always wishing him luck so once he won, he wanted to go share the news of his win with them.

When asked what he plans on doing with his winnings, White said, "I'm going to buy a new truck."

White claimed his prize at Lottery Headquarters on May 25.
