Keegan Dolan attempted to enter residence in Colonial East
Delaware State Police have arrested a Rehoboth Beach man following an incident in which he attempted to climb through a window and threatened residents with a baseball bat.
The incident occurred on Thursday, May 15, at around 12:45 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Spinning Wheel Lane, in Colonial East in Rehoboth, for a disorderly complaint. Upon arrival, 39-year-old Keegan Dolan was found outside at the front of the residence.
Further investigation revealed that two occupants, a 34-year-old male and a 24-year-old male, were inside when Dolan began banging on the residence and making threats toward them. Dolan then opened a bedroom window and threw a bucket of water filled with cigarette butts into the home, striking one of the residents and causing damage to the window blinds. He attempted to climb through the window holding a baseball bat and threatening to harm the residents. A wooden Louisville Slugger was recovered from the scene.
Dolan was subsequently taken into custody without incident. He was charged with felony home invasion, two counts of felony aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, offensive touching, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was later released on $25,500 unsecured bond.
