The Col. Haslet Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Dover inducted Shannon-Lee Miller as a member at their meeting held May 12.

Formed in 1897, the chapter was named for Col. John Haslet, commander of a Continental Regiment of the Kent County Militia. The chapter works on projects that promote historic preservation, education, good citizenship and patriotism, including supporting veterans and presenting JROTC awards at schools. DAR members can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
