The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, along with Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen and several community members, joined chamber newcomer LongHorn Steakhouse for a lasso-cutting ceremony on May 1.
The ceremony was also marked with an official “first steak” cutting by the mayor.
In addition to serving food to its customers, LongHorn is dedicated to giving back to the local community. During the pre-opening training session, proceeds from Friends & Family events benefited the Greater Dover Boys & Girls Club. LongHorn plans to partner with several other Dover organizations throughout the year. The restaurant chain also has the “LongHorn Steakhouse Harvest Program,” in which wholesome, unused food is “harvested” and donated to a local food bank.
“We are so excited to be part of the community,” said Managing Partner Ray Nash. “The guests are very happy we are here and offering such great meals, service, and inviting atmosphere. The excitement from the guest is our motivation.”
